The Paso del Norte Health Foundation funded mental health initiative and collaboration between Kelly and UTEP, Pensamientos y Platicas, led by Kelly board President Dr. Jason Mallonee and his team of graduate student researchers in the Department of Social Work, was featured along with members of Kelly’s FreshStart team in a story by the national news correspondent at Scripps News. Scripps has dozens of TV stations in as many markets.
The piece highlights the unique challenges and perspectives around mental health in the borderland region. It’s a strong testament to the value of partnerships in the El Paso community and the strength of the UTEP and Kelly teams and their collaborative efforts.
